Pilot Information | AutoTRUST

Last week, the @I-SecLab team from the University of Geneva (UNIGE) concluded an exciting two-day experience at #SuRI2025 – the Summer Research Institute on Security, Systems, and Formal Methods, held at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Lausanne, Switzerland. 🇨🇭 At the event, Sajad Hamzenejadi, a PhD. Candidate from I-SecLab, disseminated the AutoTRUST project by presenting a poster on his latest research. His research highlights secure and privacy-preserving Federated Learning (FL) for autonomous vehicles, ensuring data protection while enhancing AI-driven mobility.

During the event, Sajad had valuable discussions with leading researchers and faculty members from around the world. These conversations explored potential enhancements to his solution research, such as integrating agentic AI, transformer-based models, and custom FL architectures, to further improve its efficiency. These improvements aim to reduce the volume and frequency of data exchanged between AVs and the FL server (communication overhead) and accelerate local training and model aggregation (processing speed), all while preserving security and privacy guarantees.
